CCEE - Building a bridge to link NCBs and clients throughout the world via CB Scheme.
CCEE was founded in China in 1984, and is authorized by CSBTS, which is
an administrative department for Standization under the State Council.
It is recognized by the former State Administration of Import and Expert Commodity Inspection (SACI), now SAIQ, and approved by the Chinese National Committee of IEC. CCEE is
a non-profit, third party certification organization. It operates the electrical products certification system in China and owns the "Great Wall" mark.
CCEE operates not only in certification of electrical equipment, but also in Conformity Assessment of EMC, as well as, in certification of quality systems based on ISO 9000. In June of 1985, CCEE was accepted by the Management Committee of the IECEE as an Issuing and Recognizing NCB. Among its 27 labs, 10 labs were assessed and accepted as CBTLs for 11 product categories of IEC standards of the IECEE-CB scheme before 1998. Today, CCEE operates with 11 CBTLs, which are located in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Hong-Kong, with comprehensive capability of certification services within the IECEE. CCEE has already issued 52,000 certificates with the Great Wall mark for 9,600 manufactures. This includes 350 foreign manufactures who wanted to export their products to China's markets during the past five years. Most of the approval is based on CB Test Certificates issued by the other IECEE-NCBs. CCEE has issued 1,400 CB Test Certificates since 1994.
It's obvious that since CCEE joined the IECEE, it has made great achievements and has created the following added value for both our clients and CCEE organization:
- Heightened Chinese electrical equipment product's quality.
- Benefit to the Chinese manufacturers holding CB Test Certificates
used to access international market more easily and quickly.
- Promotion of the Chinese standardization department to adopt the IEC
standards directly with none, or only very limited differences in Chinese
national standards, therefore, reducing technical barriers to trade in the
international market.
- Facilitated exchanging of experience about certification system,
laboratory practices and testing methodologies with IECEE members.
- Promotion of mutual understanding and increase in the cooperative
relationship between CCEE and other NCBs of the world.
- Raising the reputation of CCEE in the world through the IECEE
CB-Scheme.
IECEE-CB Scheme is like a bridge that not only links each country's National Certification Bodies, but also their clients. Surely, this bridge will help to bring about a more prosperous international trade. CCEE will be more active in the IECEE organization and provide better service for our clients by using the worldwide IECEE-CB Scheme, as well as, the Full Certification Scheme (CB-FCS) for which CCEE is willing to participate with other members.
